Jetting is most often paired with our video pipe inspection (CCTV) service: we clean the line, then run the camera, and deliver one report. When jetting is the right call
- Before a CCTV inspection. A camera cannot assess a pipe it cannot see. Cleaning first turns an inconclusive inspection into a usable condition assessment.
- Before lining or rehabilitation. Cured-in-place and other rehabilitation methods require a clean host pipe. Jetting removes the debris, scale, and roots that would compromise the liner.
- Blockages and reduced capacity. Sediment, grease, and root intrusion reduce flow in sanitary and storm systems; jetting restores capacity without excavation.
- Storm inlets and culverts. Cleaning inlet boxes, laterals, and culverts ahead of an inspection or a stormwater compliance program.
- Construction closeout. Flushing newly installed or reconnected lines of construction debris before acceptance.
How we do it
A jetter truck delivers high-pressure water through a hose and nozzle inserted at a manhole, cleanout, or inlet. The nozzle pulls itself upstream through the pipe and the return flow carries loosened material back to the access point, where it is removed by vacuum. Nozzle selection depends on the pipe material and the problem: penetrating nozzles for blockages, flushing nozzles for sediment, and root-cutting or chain nozzles where roots are the issue.
When the job includes CCTV, the camera follows the jetter in the same mobilization so the inspection is performed on a clean line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I jet the line before a camera inspection?
Usually, yes. Debris and sediment hide defects and stop the camera. Cleaning first produces a complete inspection and avoids a second mobilization.
Can jetting damage the pipe?
Pressure and nozzle are matched to the pipe material and condition. Fragile or deteriorated pipe is assessed before jetting and may be cleaned at reduced pressure or inspected first.
Where does the debris go?
Loosened material is drawn back to the access point and removed by vacuum. Disposal is handled according to the material and site requirements and is included in the scope.
